I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Sonja Rauche, I’m 52 years old, and I have devoted my heart to both writing and working with children. As a trained children’s book author and qualified educator, I have the privilege of combining these two passions.
In my books, you and your children can not only dive into exciting and entertaining stories – I also intentionally aim to convey valuable life lessons through my literature, offering young readers guidance along their journey. I find inspiration for my work in my hobbies, swimming and singing, which I pursue regularly. These activities help me clear my mind and develop new ideas for my creations.
My life motto is: “Whoever gives up has already lost.” I remind myself never to give up, to emerge stronger from setbacks, and to persevere even in challenging times. I firmly believe that it’s always worth standing up for your dreams and fighting for them. Believing in yourself can be a constant source of motivation on the path toward achieving personal goals.

My life motto is: “Only those who give up have already lost.” It always reminds me to persevere and not be discouraged by setbacks. I firmly believe that it is worth fighting for your dreams as long as you believe in them.
“Get up, Kathi,” my father Werner yelled at me. His breath. A mixture of cigarette smoke and alcohol, he blew it right into my face. I felt nauseous. Completely confused, I stared at him. Outside, it was still dark.
I sat in my room, which was very small but tidy. I didn’t want to live as dirty as Werner and Andrea. So, I tried to always keep my room clean and organized. I sat at my desk, scratching my arms. They had been itching for days, but neither Werner nor Andrea cared. No one took me to the pediatrician. I couldn’t cry anymore. I had a lump in my throat.
I was feeling worse and worse. All someone had to do was look at me the wrong way, and I would start crying. Still, no one noticed how badly I was doing. I felt so insecure and just wanted to forget my problems.
